Study Group: What is Prayer?
4 November 2023 @ 4:30 am – 5:45 pm
“Pray as you can, not as you can’t.” (John Chapman)
Perhaps you have spent a lifetime praying, but some of the energy has gone, or it feels like no one is there. Perhaps you are someone who feels they have never been taught how to pray, and would love to know if what they are doing is prayer…and what other forms it could take. Or perhaps your prayer life has energy and life, but there could be other practices you would like to learn about. In this course facilitated by Rev’d Sue we will learn about different approaches to prayer, consider some of the great teachers of the Christian tradition, and spend time in each session with a practical experience of the form of prayer explored.
All welcome, from lifetime pray-ers to those who are not sure whether they have ever prayed at all.
“To pray is to change. This is a great grace” (Richard Foster)
