Gathering to pray for Gaza: Brisbane youth inter-faith vigil

Gather with those from different SEQ faith communities to pray for people in Gaza.
This inter-faith vigil will be led by young people, about young people, who will:
- Pray for a permanent ceasefire.
- Lament the lives lost to violence.
- Pray for the release of the thousands of child and adult Palestinians arbitrarily arrested in Gaza; the release of remaining Israeli hostages; and, the release of Palestinian political prisoners.
- Pray for a just peace.
The vigil will be led by young people, about young people.
The inter-faith vigil liturgy will include:
- An Acknowledgement of Country.
- Call to worship.
- Young people reading from holy texts and leading intercessory prayers.
- Silent reflection.
- Simple prayerful activities.
People of all ages and faith backgrounds are welcome to attend. This gathering is a solemn inter-faith vigil in a church — please leave signage/banners at home. The vigil is expected to go for one hour maximum, ending by 8pm.
Tea/coffee will be served after the vigil.
Important: All attendees under 18 years must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
