Sunday Conversations

Tales of an adventurous spirit: Conversation with Lynn Ruhle

Join us on the lawn outside the church for wine, cheese, and some great stories with Lynn Ruhle. Lynn will share her own sense of adventure in life and why that matters, as well as opening up a discussion for others to share. Wear something warm and come along for the chance in an informal setting to get to know one another better and enjoy some great company.

A $10 donation towards a glass of wine and cheese is appreciated if possible. All proceeds will go to the roof appeal.

Columbarium
Friday 2 July 7:00 am in the Columbarium (First Friday each month)

Requiem Mass

The Requiem Mass is a quiet said Eucharist in the All Souls’ Chapel (Columbarium) where we remember those who have died, naming those whose years’ mind occurs that month. However, there is the opportunity to remember any you have loved who have died: please tell the priest before the service and names can be added to the prayers.

Saturday 3 July 6:00 pm (First Saturday each month)

Contemplative Eucharist

Join us as we explore the theme of new life in our Contemplative Eucharist this Saturday evening at 6:00 pm, gathering in the St Peter’s (side) chapel. Through creative liturgies, music, poetry and silence we reflect on how the Spirit is inviting us to be co-creators of life and freedom, drawing us into loving relationship.

Sunday 4 July 3:00 pm in the Hall (First Sunday each month)

Movie Afternoon: TBA, but save the date!

Join us for a movie followed by discussion and a light pizza dinner. A donation of $10 towards the food is appreciated if possible.

Walk Life: A one day pilgrimage

Do you enjoy walking? Want to reflect on your vocation and purpose in life? Consider joining a one day walking pilgrimage from Mt Coot-tha to St John’s Cathedral in Brisbane on 11 August. It’s a public holiday in Brisbane, and not everyone wants to go to the Ekka! If you’d be interested, leave a comment on this Facebook post and stay tuned for more information. This is part of Vocations Month in the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.

Saturday 21 August 9:30 am – 1:30 pm (time to be confirmed)

Kids’ Fun Fest

Yes, the Fun Fest is back in 2021!

We will confirm the activities closer to the date, but in the past, there has been face painting, flower arranging, biscuit decorating, wood craft, music, games and even a mini train ride! This free event is sponsored by Brisbane City Council.

Please contact Georgina if you can help out on the day with setting up, an activity or cleaning up afterwards.

Renewal of Baptismal Vows / Confirmation

The opportunity is available for specific reaffirmation of baptismal vows for those who have experienced a renewal or healing in their spiritual lives and would like to honour this with a rite when Bishop John visits our parish later in the year. The rite of confirmation will also be offered on this date. If you are interested in renewing your baptismal vows in this way, or if you or members of your family would like to be confirmed in the faith, please contact Rev’d Sue.
