PARISH NEWS

WOMEN’S DINNER There will be a Women’s Dinner on Friday 6 August – 7.00pm for 7.30pm and cost of $20.00. Please see the sign up list at the back of the Church. The theme is “ a night of Latin delight.”

ELECTION DAY STALLS AND ACTIVITIES We are preparing to hold our usual stalls in conjunction with the Federal Election on Saturday August 21. We hope to organise a Cake Stall, Book Stall, Sausage Sizzle & Raffle. We will need your assistance with providing goods and being available to assist on the day. There are sign-up lists at the back of the Church.

Our annual KID’S FUN FEST will be held on Saturday August 28. More details coming soon!

THANK YOU Max and Joan Macaulay wish to thank St. Andrew’s Parishioners for their prayers and thoughts over the last five years for their daughter Meredith.  Meredith died peacefully on Thursday 15th July.

PROTECTION POLICY FOR CHILDREN

Anyone on Parish Council or working with children need to read and sign the declaration at the back of the Church indicating their understanding and agreement of ‘Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Children in Parishes’ Please return the document once you have signed off so they can be circulated.

For those who have ordered tickets for The Mary Mackillop Story the cost will be $45.00 per ticket. Could you please arrange to pay amounts owing to the Parish Treasurer, Lorraine Pickering. Thank you.

WSICC We are in need of a Parish Representative to attend meetings of the Western Suburbs Inter Church Council. If you would be available for a mid-week day time meeting please speak to Father Michael.

WALK FOR CHAPLAINCY Help raise funds for the Chaplains at Indooroopilly State High School and Qld Academy SMT, Toowong.  The 3.8km walk begins at J.C. Slaughter Falls Picnic Area at 2:00pm Sunday 1st August. Further information is available from Georgina Byrom.
